Light winds, so Jim and I got Bill to drive and drop us off at the Avon
pier - we would paddle home. I rented an 11'3 board which I would later
buy new. Paddling in the ocean is vastly different from paddling flat
water. There were some waves to catch, but after a while the stabilizer
muscles in my legs began to shake. Didn't really surf any waves, but
at least got our sea legs. Carried the boards across highway 12 and
paddle home in the sound.
