Decided at the last minute to drag my butt to the trail and try to ride in the snow. Didn't bother with the studded tires - it wasn't very icy anyhow. I dropped the air pressure down to about 10psi in the rear (or something really low like that) - it seemed to help on the climbs. Surprisingly, riding in the snow is not that bad - it is a little slower (I didn't bother with a helmet) but you really have to pay attention to your track and front wheel. Going astray means getting sucked into the softer snow which instantly kills your speed. Nice to get out and ride, at least!
